Super glue has saved my ass more than once on a gig. Try playing upright bass in a jump blues swing band fighting against a horn section and big ass guitar. Brutal.

euri hahaha super bonder no dedo

@basssorc That sounds just as odd as it is impossible to imagine - its probably just a rumor spread by some worshipper of Harris' (dont get me wrong, Harris is great, but worshipping almost never does any good to anyone). He is also quite likely to make his tone just by his way of playing (classic P-bass with sig. Rotos and short plucks with straight fingers from one joint each) while hitting with fingertips as normal

@BOnEhEAdD some bassplayers who have naturally hard nails, they let their nails grow to play with them. steve harris does that and that's one reason where his trademark sound comes from.

Guess its time to leave the Lee Press Ons at home as well...

Those nails look pretty darn short. n they are still commin off from the pressure; I say, glue 'em Billy!

Haha what a man. "I have some superglue at home" almost as good as duct taping his nails on.

lol
all bassists keep trimming their nails all the way and as often as possible - otherwise they would fly off just after few gigs. It must be in something else - i guess it can be just from very long term (like 30 yrs) hard pressure on the fingertips..
