  • I live in America and I dont pay my fares either! Fare evaders unite!

  • I've developed a move called the "tallaght twirl" basically you get on the luas without paying as usual. Stand near the driver and twirl as fast as you can with your arms outstreched until you reach your destination, most people including inspectors will not approch you and if they do they will get a double whopper to the jaw before they can say "whats your story".

Another favorite is dressing up as a ticket inspector but ill tell you that story another time

  • My sister evades her fare all the time, and when she is caught (which she often is) she gives fake names and addresses.

  • luas inspectors and the tram security are a joke..rarely are tickets checked and if someone does evade or accidentally have an invalid ticket they often overlook it. However when they do checks they skip the drunken junkie scumbags so as not to cause trouble and go after the hard working commuters who may have accidentally got the ticket wrong. So in effect the luas is a free form of transport for dublin's junkies and scumbags!

  • i dont evade my fare on it but if i have to, i will

  • I live in Boston, Ma in the US. The MBTA system relies on 100% fare checking, even on the Greenline. All the Underground stations, as well as some aboveground stops on the greenline have faregates, and at surface stations without faregares, you would need to board at the front of the train, and pay at the farebox, just like you do on busses.

On the commuter rail, conducters on the train constantly check for tickets after every departure, though sometimes my tickets don't get checked.

  • I got charged with fare evasion in Washington DC, a class C misdemeanor.
