Altenator conversion with built in regulator. Is this the last real daily driver 57 conv.? I haven't been driving it as much since I got the 63 and the MC SS. We normally put 15,000 miles a year on this family car and have driven it over 200,000 miles since we have owned it. I built it and painted it in this backyard 15 years ago.

  • Nice car but why did you take the original engine out of it?

  • @mrdestoryit because the harmonic balancer kept vibrating off and it was tired

  • did u every finish the 63 impala

  • @831Oink not yet, I have to work a full time job so my time to work on it is limited at times. I can't wait to get back to work on the trunk metal replacement, I miss driving it.

  • I wish I had more than 3 picture choices for this video. The 3 youtube randomly selected as choices for me are at the wrong times in this video. oh well...

  • haha at the expired tags. Nice job on the car. New top will be nice.

  • @Rare92Mustang I haven't been driving it as much since getting the M/C SS going, but I have overlooked those tags. I drove it to waco this weekend and with the tag being on the side of the W/S, I guess it doesn't get noticed by cops or they are looking at the car??? Its insured and inspected til Jan., even tho the sticker isn't on it, LOL, but I better get tags....

  • I like that you actually drive and enjoy all your cars instead of just keeping them in a garage and only taking them out on perfect-weather Sundays.

  • I like it when people actually "drive" their cars! I sure didnt get my 63 to haul around on a trauler..

    good work Dan

  • @trinoma88 Even back in like, the 70s, people would still convert the rear drum brakes to disc. Some Corvettes came with em from the factory.
