How Not To Shoot a Revolver ( Chapter 2 )

We do the cylinder gap gas-escape test again with a .44 Magnum, as well as with the Russian "gas-seal" revolver, the 1895 Nagant. Interesting results.
Occasionally, someone stumbles into the first video and claims that the only reason the paper blew apart was from the muzzle blast.

People really believed the first video was fake? Wow...

There´s even super slow motion videos of revolvers being shot where you can see the hot gases burst through the cylinder gap. You wouldn´t even get skin burn, that kind of cartridge without a sealed cylinder would cut your fingertip off and send it flying down the aisle.

I imagine it would be embarassing to recover that amidst the brass on the range. :I

You should see what happens when you put your finger in the wrong spot on a Mateba. I watched a guy pull out this strange looking revolver, load it up and pull the first round off and then look down at what was left of his index finger. Needless to say I lost interest in the pistol and started first-aid. I kinda wonder if he ever shot that pistol again. Lesson here is to always read the owner's manual. :)

so hickok what will happen if u shoot a revolver on the inside of a cardboard/paperbox if u jus cut the top n bottom open jus leaving the sides will it shred the box apart idk if it humanly possible to do without hurtin ur hands if u can make a chapter 3 b careful

I used to shoot PPC a LONG time ago. My revvolver was a custom Strahan built on a mod 19- perfect seal, action etc... I left the sport in 81 and that was just about the time that red dot sites and such were being used! I was amazed at the grip "on the barricade" that shooters starting using! Gripping the barrel in front of the cylinder!! Not safe enough for me!!
