A common plecostomus will attack and eat slow moving fish like fancy goldfish. I have a bristlenose plecostomus, they typically do not attack fish.

  • i doent have a clue sorry mate

  • @ranchuboy7

No worries. If there was a cure - they'd have had it. They've been through more rounds of different medications than an Eskimo has had hot dinners.

  • try warming up the tank a bit and clean ur tank more often and buy a bristlenose catfish to help

  • @ranchuboy7

I tried the high temperature, 30C to 32C for a while. It just made them more sick.

  • they have white spolch dicease try lifting temp to 30 degrees which should kill the bacteria

  • @dfernandez77

i doent know wat to do ask in a pet store

  • @ranchuboy7

The temperature is usually around 80F (27C). I had it over 90F for a week because that kills one potential parasite - no help. The tank is very clean. I have a bristlenose plecostomus in the tank. The water is changed 80% every 5 days. They get extremely good care, but I think there is a bacteria in our source water here causing the problem. So even when treatment works - it comes back.

  • warm up the tank and clean it out thouroly cos theres too much algae in the tankbuy a bristlenose catfish to help he likes to suck it all up
