You should come up (and tell your students to do it in the right way!) very slowly after you go down for stretch!!!

There is still a lot of debate on whether it is most effective to stretch before or after a work out or you should do both. However, dynamic stretching is being highly recommended in the warm-up and if you notice she did a lot of that. A few static stretches are used in almost every choreographed group fitness class room and has been a component of every certification/pre-choreographe
d class I've become certified in...which were in turn acknowledged by AFAA, ACE, etc. for CEC's. -
how long do have to wram up before stretching?

i just found this on the ZIN forum from Tony Wilt "ACSM guidelines now don't recommend stretching in the warm up. Save it for cool down" However I love this warm up and will use it except for the stretching. Thanks for posting:-)

AFAA recommends 2 static stretches while warming up. Although, when your heartrate is elevated, it is not good to put your head towards the floor. You could do this with or without this particular stretch depending on your heart rate.
