Instead of criticizing him and repeating always the same thins about SRV and all the old stuff , you should be more open minded because you don't know what you're talking about , you say " there won't be another Stevie " yes , that's right 'cause every each of us is unique ! It's awful to see how mentalities remain the same years after years , in 2011 people still compare an actual player to an old legend , it's disgusting for those like me who want to succeed in the music. sorry i'm french...

Just remember Blues comes from the heart, all this stuff about playing too fast, more said from 2 notes from another artist all true, however this is how this man interprets the blues, he is playing from his soul, so its cool with me. Please people accept the music don't bash the musician. Who is "the best" who cares, lets enjoy the music. YouTube is so full of inane stupidity and negativity. SRV was great & I love him, but he just elevated the technical ability of his forefathers like Buddy Guy and the 3Kings.
Phillip and Jeff and numerous other players are wailing and meaning it. There's enough room in the musical universe for everyone. This ridiculous "my guy is great, and your guy sucks mentality is useless and a lowers the bar for everyone.
The world is going to s**t! Let's all appreciate the music we are blessed with.
