first time I heard Ellen was with West 44th Street Noise Choir, her song Ain't No 2 Ways About It on the lp We The People is on my play list of house music at my venue...I try to turn young folk on to Ellen's music.. an outstanding talent.

My first real concert, Ellen opened for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band at the Trenton War Memorial.
That was about 33 years ago.
I really didn't get her then. But I do now.

First heard of her on a Warner brother promo album called "The Big Ball"in the 70's. She did a song called "sliding" that just killed us young impressionable guitar wannabes.

When I was a kid I watched her and her band (FEAR ITSELF) play at the premiere bar in Kingston.Watched through the window. a year later my buddy Spanky introduced me to her. I've been addicted ever since. Harp guitar or voice, she's the natural choice. Was she really there at all, or was it just a call that I heard from a narrow hall? Rock on redhead, your the real thing.
