This is why nice guys won't approach most women. Unless a man is completely in the throws of sexual motivation, it's just not worth chancing a response like this. One response like this will make you not ever want to make small talk again. "Thank you for the compliments, but I am neither in the mood nor interested in being in the mood for this.
