Will Allen is co-founder and director of Growing Power, Inc., an organization that is transforming the production and delivery of healthy foods to underserved, urban populations. Growing Power operates as an urban farm and education center in Milwaukee, WI, and more recently, Chicago, teaching urban youth how to produce low-cost healthy foods for their communities.

Why aren't there more views ? with the poison we call 'food' everywhere you look . This man is a NATIONAL HERO ! Not to mention the very positive social ramifications stemming from GOOD nutrition to meaningful life-enhancing skills and benefits ... and great tasting FOOD ,, jeesh ... whats not to love dammit ?!

Thank you Will Allen for being a trailblazer and revolutionary "back to the land" inner city pioneer, making use of local peoples and resources. Really enjoyed the discussion of taking waste, abandoned lands being used for drug deals and using it instead for growing food. Very inspirational.
