Yes. The temperature was much higher then usual. Many runners were attended by the ambulances, and I think there was at least one fatal case.

Think most of the 'runners' having problems were poorly trained to begin with & had no business entering the race. Properly trained marathon marathon runners know how to deal with hot weather & run accordingly..
