This is the unboxing of Intel's 2nd Gen. Core i7 2600k Quad Core Processor using the all new LGA 1155 socket.

The LGA 1155 is not backward compatible with previous generation mothboards. It IS compatible with the H67, P67 and Z68 motherboards.

This is the highest model and most expensive to date available in the consumer market.

Oh, and for integrated grpahics you do not need a Z68 motherboard. you need a H67 if I'm not mistaken :)

@IamKurdSon Hello, this is what we call an 1155 socket cpu which WAS the newest generation until the socket 2011 came out just recently. This CPU (2600k) is the highest-end of the 1155 socket cpus currently. In other words, it'll handle your games with ease. If you're on a budget stick with 2500 or 2500k. Make sure you got a good video card as well, which is more important for a good gaming experience.
