www.royshaff.wordpress.com This is a good commentary questioning method and (over) mission. This is a "produced church." I want to see disciples. I want to be one too. Personally, I think the growing trend to "produce church" stifles many potential disciple-making churches. "Production" subtly moves from method to mission. Yes, there are good "produced churches" that make disciples. But, the effort to be "produced," creates many bad churches. This video reminded me of the "Starbucks church" video that was circulating awhile back. It asks us if we have style over substance.

  • hahah soooooo true

  • Low on content but high on feelings pretty much sums up the emergent church. Good video!

  • This is the way church should be. I feel more comfortable when the pastor wears jeans and the music rocks!

  • its scary to think that a format like this in church is very successful to bring people in and to believe what is said. It really is based in psychology and the study of how the brain would react to different systems. i wouldnt be surprised that if churches stopped this format, half of the religious people in this country would stop being religious.

  • Note to everyone...this was done by a Megachurch to point fun at themselves - a video to help people understand that there is why behind the what.

  • @clucaspik Couldn't have said it better.

  • This is not what the first church was like. The believers showed up and waited for God to move. And He did. He would speak through His chosen method. Times have changed, obviously, and now churches are scripted. It doesn't matter if your in a church that's wants you in a suit and tie, or a church that doesn't care, the script is still there.
