BMW 524td E28 runaway diesel, turbo failure heavy smoke engine failure

My 524td somewhat blew the turbocharger 20 miles before I recorded this video, it was making funny whistling noises and lost power... I thought I would still make it to work, but I was proven wrong. Broke down on a pretty long, steep incline. Really heavy white blueish smoke, watch trucks back up behind me due to bad sight. Got off the highway on the next exit. Engine wouldn't shut off using the injection pump kill switch, it kept on running from the oil it was sucking in through the broken charger. Some turbine fragments and pieces of gaskets were in the turbo outlet :)

blocking the air intake will sometimes do nothing as it will start sucking air past the pistons and through the crankcase, and sometimes if it is out of diesel it will run on the crankcase oil...

e brake + in gear + off + smother intake , that is what your suposed to do , if its standard it works better

Keeping a fire extinguisher in the car helps a lot, shooting co2 into the intake will displace just about any amount of o2 and stop the motor
