  • Question: If shoe is masculine why is it "Das ist ein toller Schuh?"

  • @tok291 That is the masculine ending for an adjective preceded by an 'ein' -- if it helps, try to think of how the 'ein' in your example does not show any masculinity, and needs the -er ending (on the adjective toll) to show what gender it is.

  • @Hardy30680

so can you tell me about akkusativ and dativ cases in adjectiv endings? thank you.

  • @tok291 Because DAS also means THAT and you can use it for all the genders.

  • I don't Know how to thank you for this rich and very very useful video.

  • @tok291 they usually use Das ist as this is , or it is in English, so das ist doesnt necesarily mean that the word is neutr. For example in English we say it's my little brother in German we say Das ist mein kleiner Bruder,

  • german grammar ist schwer!

  • Very informative ^_^
