2009 WRX Stage 2 Pull

Flashed to stage 2 with the Cobb AP using off the shelf maps for 91 octane. Using Invidia catted downpipe and SPT exhaust.

by any chance did you dyno on this stage 2 setup? im interested in running a similar setup with the AP and am curious to what you were getting with the ots maps

its "boxer" engine.. and basically refers to the layout. Its a "flat " type where the pistons stick out each side horizontally. Back in the day this layout was common in aircraft (still is in most piston/prop powered small aircraft). Old aircooled VW's used this layout in a 4cyl config as well as Porsche's using it in 4 and 6 cyl config. the Corvair used a "flat" engine too. If I remember right.. so did the Tucker. Fyi, the porsche "boxter" also uses a "boxer" style engine.

Stage 2 wrx is an exhaust and downpipe and a tune. To get tuned you will either need a Cobb accessport or they have programs they can flash the ecu.

how do u know what to do to stage 2 the WRX. WOudl you go to subaru's mechanic and say "i want to stage 2 my wrx?"

add an intake and larger intercooler and you'll run faster

they call it a "boxer" engine because the pistons are horizontally opposed, parallel with the ground, they look like they are punching one another if you can imagine both of your arms facing each other fist to fist but juxtaposed. not many people know the real reason, the name comes after the layout though.

Pretty good pull man, gotta love that boxer sound. I just got rid of my modded up 02 wrx, I miss it but im in the market for a 03/04 cobra now. Ill prolly miss the subby but its ok, just need some good ole v8 power/sound. Ill always have an interest in wrx's. are you on clubwrx?
