@redhead5150 I've heard that,but i'm saying bought new with nothing whatsoever done.had a friend w/an 85 iroc that would just scream and it was straight off the showroom. a friend w/a 79t/a 403 no mods,and the thing would just fly-others

(exact model and year) wouldn't fall out of a tree.But ,i have heard stories about tweeking on the assembly line.....thanks for responding!

@cm121967 They say that sometimes engines are just tweeked during assembly by accident. The dealer,also, had a mechanic that specialized in the new tune-port engines. This guy was a genius, instead of buying those after-market chips he adjusted the tune-port for more HP!!! The chip, he said sometimes burns out the computer. Tweek the tune-port injectors and you will get there faster!!!

@redhead5150 how does that work? i've seen several "identical" cars like t/a s camaros and mustangs all honestly stock,but for some reason there's always one in the bunch that is just faster that the others. i mean noticeably faster than the rest. remember i said there were absolutlely no mods!

is it just me or does his speedo only go to 80mph? i was looking into a 85 with a v8 5 speed but uf it tops out at 80...ill be shocked.

I had an 85 TRANS AM. Ordered it through G.M. when I worked there and it was a rocket!!!! 305 tuned-port, got a real great motor. The dealer had 10-12 arrive at his place. Eddie the head mechanic tested them and could not believe how fast mine was. Just got lucky!!!
