this mimi sounds so good and pretty. I love how she actually holds out her last "I Die" and then goes into falsetto towards the end of it. Thats how it was in the original recording and that's how all Mimis should sing it.

daphne has the voice that mimi should have... it's raw,, rough,, and has an edge to it. and broadway actors and actresses are the people with the real talent,, ANYONE could walk into a studio and let someone tweak their voice and add background noise until sounds good but it takes real talent to walk up in stage and perform live with a live band...... not tht your wrong you're entitled to your opinion but i just wanted to defend daphne {{she's my fave mimi}} all mimi's have pros and cons :]

Let us be sincere here. I adore Rent and I like Daphne, but musical theatre is VERY DIFFERENT from cinema. Daphne looked already too old to play a 19 year old. Cinema must be realistic. It would have been a joke to have Daphne singing that line of Light my Candle!
