  • To quote Frank Herbert in Dune "Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear."

Fear is the enemy of reason and rationality - that is what makes Pat Condell interesting as he peddles fear of Islam and also proclaims his rationality and reason - it doesn't work.

  • @johncrwarner And people always want to know about what they should be afraid of because they feel more protected, and will listen more to the fear-peddler, it's a vicious circle.

  • Oi!

So many people so afraid of others being different! It gets a little dis-heartening at times. But you did a great job at pushing back, Stan.

  • @CanadienAtheist Thanks man, I actually put some effort into making this video and I'm glad you liked it. :)

  • Right after 9/11 me and hubby were living in a motel room waiting on an apartment. The woman who rented us the place was so nice. I happened to go in one day to use the phone and a guy had her cowering in the corner as he screamed at her for being Muslim and a terrorist. I got the guy away from him and told him if he was going to be a bigot, get his facts straight and that she was a Hindu. He had the nerve to get pissed b/c she wouldn't rent him a room.

  • @kelliko70 I doubt he knows what a Hindu is, or if he could even spell it.

  • Islamophobia? A "phobia" is an irrational fear or something. A mental illness. The communists used to put dissidents in mental hospitals too. They defined opposition as mental illness. They also murdered getting on for 100 million people. Fear of Islam can only be a "phobia" if it is an irrational fear. As an atheist, I would be killed under Islamic law. Is it "irrational" of me to be against Islam? If not, then my opposition cannot be a phobia. So "Islamophobia" is a misnomer.

  • @KurtCobain198666 Oh. You mean extremists. You never said that. :P

Well... there haven't been any violent Baha'i extremists.

  • @WFSW32 The religion of Buddhism may not encourage to kill, but Buddhists have had their share of mass killings. Ever heard of Pol Pot? Contrary to what religious people tell you, he wasn't an atheist, he was a Buddhist. Didn't stop him killing 2.5 million. The Khmer Rouge even adopted some ritiuals and beliefs from Theravada Buddhism (as much of the party were Buddhist) to justify their non-standard Communism. So while Buddhism may not say kill other religions, Buddhists are far from innocent

  • @KurtCobain198666 Completely wrong. Buddhist and Baha'i DEFINITELY do NOT.

  • Of course Pat condell is over reacting ..perceiving an Islamic threat based on what lol ?

Couldn't be the regions across the globe of muslim conflict...the hundreds of thousands that take to the streets screaming for the murder of cartoonists or book writers...and then carrying it out.

We all know that tiny minority were hmm terrorists...or as the alleged Condellites know them, just your everyday normal society folk.

Islam is an oppresive ideology..based on oh err FACT.

  • now look at christianity. If being a good christian means following the bible as direct words from God, then the Crusades would still be going on. They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. (2 Chronicles 15:12-13 NAB)

Also search Deuteronomy 17:2-5. ALL religions encourage killing of other religions

  • Religion-phobia=logic. I'm a christian, and even I can say people should fear all religion. The people behind 9/11, according to the Qu'ran, were good muslims. "Slay them wherever you find them...Idolatry is worse than carnage...Fight against them until idolatry is no more and God's religion reigns supreme." (Surah 2:190) If following your holy book makes you a good member of your religion, then ONLY muslims who kill all others are good muslims.

  • @Scarletpooky Islamophobia is a made up word. It was made up by extremists to label any criticism of their policies and practices. Islamofacism is also a made up word. It was made up by Muslims to describe their oppression by other Muslims in the name of Islam.

  • You're wasting your time addressing a full-time skinhead Nazi like Pat. The guy is an ignorant racist piece of shit who writes for the BNP.

  • @StanMarsh1

I have not met a more fearful nation than the USA - and that was before the 9/11 - I last visited in 1989 and the fear of white middle-class people of the black population was shocking to me. The conservatives in America have for the last 65 years peddled the fear of some external force to boost their own personal power and to wage war in the world.
