Open Mind / Time, what makes us tick?

TIME what makes us tick? is it our inner clock, or are we part of a gigantic clockwork regulating our daily moves? Observed on a human scale, the very basic rhythm of every day is sunset and sunrise, we go in to bed and out of bed. A rhythm, so elementary and universal and at the same time so intimate.

This is an impression of Sync' by Max Hattler and 'Bedrooms' bij Nelleke Koop with music by Dennis van Tilburg. These were part of the 'Time, what makes us tick?' installation in the Open Mind series of Pavlov E-Lab, presented on the Noorderzon Performing Arts festival 2010. In this edition Max and Nelleke collaborated with chronobiologist Martha Merrow and physicist Eric Bergshoeff in their mutual exploration of the theme of Time.

Time is an illusion, all you have is the now. The future is nothing but a concept, it doesn't physically exist. The past is similar, it's gone, it doesn't exist physically. The present moment isn't really here physically either because, Whoops, That is in the past once again & so you try it again but you always end up in the now. It's all an illusion, a concept for the human consciousness to have a linear reality. Structure. To Feel out of control. To feel REAL.

@BlackJaguar1100. Lol. Just because something is visible doesn't make it real. Changes from a past are only validations of belief systems within the borders of a contextualization. Objective observations are merely temporary aspects of functionality relegated to a finite paradigm. Anything that can have an end is not an absolute. (The universe will end.) An individual in a dream doesn't question the dream content, unless of course they become lucid.

@xdeiri. The red pill isn't the be all & end all. After all this isn't the matrix where we can end up in a "real" reality. I don't have any beliefs in any "ism" that the limited human consciousness put a label to. As far as killing goes it isn't good as killing people isn't going to make the illusion stop playing out. What purpose would that do to finding a way out? Hey, you contacted me here I haven't sought you out. The path of spiritual enlightenment then death is the way out.

time is the greatest mystery of all, you control time your a god, simple as that, in Muslims belief, god say he is "time" and so dont curse time,i change days and nights. you have the necessary senses to judge and be responsible for your actions"brain, eyes etc.. including sense of time,which is relative, everything has a different sense of time, your sense is not like other animals"flees for instance, live for 11 hours or so, but its a full life according to their sense of time.

@xdeiri. There is nothing to understand or control. All things "exist" as concept only. When you are in a particular dream you do sub consciously control your entire world, only the character that you are (still in the dream) doesn't understand that it is one with the source of the dream. It's no different for "reality." You can measure with science in a dream, it's only when you wake up that you realize it was an illusion. Without nothing you can't have something.
