Wanna fly Budapest race track? Here You Can!

Fly the Red Bull Air Race Budapest track 2008! The clip is a compilation of different cockpit replays including the audio signal. The race starts underneath the Chain Bridge where the pilots reach speeds of up to 230mph (370kph). Then they a first leg down the Danube river, followed by turning maneuver, so called half cuban eight, at the last level gate. The total run time is around 1:11.00.

The tricky part of this track is the Chain Bridge. Since the pilots accelerate to around 230mph before the Chain Bridge, there is a point-of-no-return.

Pylons are not solid, indeed. The material we use is rip-stop nylon. When they are blown up the pylons are quite solid though. Thanks to the high air pressure inside, they burst immediately when hit by a plane.

Thank you for the nice video! There is no more flying under the bridges for safety reasons, but the race is still cool, and Budapest is an awesome city.

Pilots didn't fly under the Chain Bridge in Budapest this year, because of the high water level.
