  • this Elvis, and if Elvis hated the Beatles why did he do so many covers of their work..?

  • @lizmiranda62 - That kind of logic is too simple for Elvis' haters to comprehend.

  • This is not Elvis... But it sounds good anyways.

  • @honorableron - question mark followed by an exclamation point.

  • The greates band of all time vs. the greatest solo rock artist of all time. I don't see a reason why to compare between the 2.

  • this all of a sudden reminds me of the scene from nowhereboy where john lennon says: "why didn't god make me ELVIS" and his mom says: "because he was saving you to be john lennon"...

  • There are things that Elvis could do that The Beatles couldn't and The Beatles could do things that Elvis couldn't. At the end of the day, they were both still idols and women loved them regardless. Nuff said

  • Elvis and the Beatles are both great artists. But they are completely different acts. Let's stop trying to compare them and recognize them as they should be. Elvis is the greatest solo artist in history and the Beatles are the greatest band in history. They both influenced generations and they are both fantastic!

  • Elvis Presley and The Beatles are the two Greatest ever, Stones can say they are the greatest r&r band, but no one and no band cand compare too the two Greatest Music Icons in the history of music. I never get tired of listen to either of these Great person or band. They both left me up when I am feeling down. I lived through the greatest music period of time. i am now 60, yet don't feel it at all. Late 50's through too the late 70's are where the best music was and is ever created.

  • Good info! Thank you ♥

  • Impressive and excellent fine performance by this king of no classical music.Elvis was a miracle,an extraordinary perfectionist.IMMORTAL...

  • elvis was the very first rock star, and rightly so, there would be no rock n roll if it wasnt for elvis, we all forget it was elvis who took black gospel, hymms, blues and blended them into a new musical form, rock n roll, elvis was an innovator, never a copier, whether he wrote all his songs is irrelevant, tom parker led him away from all this for the mighty dollar and made elvis go hollywood, elvis was so controlled by him, he lost sight of his career and rock n roll suffered.

  • @elvisworldwide Also remember, tom parker had a controlling interest in elvis's life, always making elvis go for the almighty dollar instead of having elvis's musical integrity as his first interest, parker ended up selling elvis out, he had such a control over elvis, having brought him his initial sucess, that everything he wanted elvis to do, he did, if elvis was more assertive, he would've fired parker and took control of his own career, ditching those movies, and staying a recording star.

  • wake up....it was the bloody colonel, unfortunately Elvis never stood up to him.....

  • I'm not big on covers, but I have to give Elvis his props here. He did a damn fine job on this song.

  • I love Elvis, for his voice, his love for Gospel and his contribution to music. But.....how many songs did he actually write?..........the answer itself shows the gulf between him and Lennon / McCartney
