Looks like Jay Leno? Ha ha ha - YOU'RE RIGHT!
So if Leno were bald he'd look like Van Dam?
I have NEVER seen Van Dam this young. I think he has a magnificent voice quality. His technique and his acting are non pareil. I just LOVE his voice. I'd know his voice anywhere. Now Merrill, Cappucilli, Hampson, etc. are all MAJORLY fantastic. Despite the "two" tenors in 'La Maestro Musique' having the same voice (sung by the same person,) in life no two are the same. He is unique to my ear. Special.

Of minor interest: Cherubino's gran casco is a French cavalry helmet of the Napoleonic wars, specifically of the Dragoons. The leopard skin turban was reserved for dragoon officers or all members of the Empress's dragoons, formed in 1806. Perhaps this Cherubino is earmarked for Napoleon's military machine? In which case much honours but little money indeed!

Perhaps this is just my impression. But van Dam, whom I much admire, strikes me as much more of a baritone than a bass-baritone--or perhaps a baritone with an unusually strong lower register, rather than a basso cantante with a strong upper extension. Just my thoughts, for what they are worth, if anything--

Interesting comment.
I agree that in this recording he sounds a lot like a baritone... however in most of what I've heard from him he sounds (to me) like a bass... hard to understand.

That's because he is a bass-baritone.

I like very much van Dam's voice but not your performance (actuación en español). What's your opinion?

True, but he's only a nobleman BECAUSE he's the country's popularmost opera singer... I don't know if he was a baron at the time of this production yet :-)
