Go figure. The way I procrastinate with videos...is to make other videos XD. I watched this episode because I remembered the mirror shattering scene from another video, and thought I could possibly use it for the main video I'm working on now. Turns out, I loved the ep, and had to make a video to it.
The basic story was the Alec (Jensen) was sent by Manticore (government lab that genetically creates children to be spies, assassins, etc) to spy on Rachel's (the girl) father who was a possible liability to their company. Alec's cover being that of Rachel's piano teacher, the two began to spend more and more time together until they had fallen in love. Not soon after, Manticore gives the order to kill the father as well as Rachel. Alec then sets up the bomb, but being unable to go through with it, confronts Rachel with who and what he is and tries to save her. Instead, Rachel runs out to save her father. She hits her head during the blast and falls into a coma for two years. Alec's taken up by Manticore who torture him for a bit, but later (when he's out in the real world), he comes across the house again when delivering a package. The father sees him on the security tapes, and starts calling him, piano music playing, trying to provoke Alec into coming to the house. Alec takes the bait finally (once he sees the shadow of a woman who looks like rachel--another part of the father's plan), and the father confronts him, planning on shooting him. Max (not shown) comes in and knocks the father unconscious. Alec then goes and says his final goodbye to Rachel, who dies within the next week.
This video's a bit different than my usual editing style (i almost never reuse clips for instance) but I had to go about this one differently. For one their wasn't much usable footage, and two, the show itself was shown in bits of pieces via Alec's memory. So in homage to the original episode, the editing is a bit all over the place as far as the time-line goes. The vid's in Alec's point of view, so that became my reasoning as to why I reused that scene with Rachel leaving. Alec keeps going back to that moment in his head, thinking that were he only able to change that one moment, he might have been able to save her. So basically, I was trying to convey just how hung up he was on it. Also, this was my first time using motion blur (yeah, I'm so completely made of FAIL that I didn't even know it existed until two days ago), so I might have went a bit overboard with it...but hopefully not.
Anyway, enjoy ^^
EPIC VIDEO!
