Oh no, my mum's hamster may have this. She is hunched and she could barely open her eyes. But, she stills walk around and eats. I am bringing her to the vet in the morning. I hope she makes it through the night.

@mermaidgal07 the hunched position I'm referring to is not the one all hamsters sleep in. It's one they literally cannot move from. As in, they are completely stuck in that position & if you try to position them upright, they fall back over, unable to move.

My hamster moves a lot and he is active but he sits in a hunched position. Does he have wet tail?

@TheEmme12345 the hunched position associated with wet-tail is a position in which the hamster cannot move himself out of. He's literally stuck. You'll know it if you ever see it.

Thank you SO much. I had a hamster who died of wet tail and my sister had five that died from wet tail. When I get my new hamster I'll be sure to buy the medicine ahead of time just in case.

@cupcakegirl125 awesome. make sure you do not handle the hamster for a whole week without getting him. It stresses them out and they need to get used to their surroundings. When people handle them the first week, they're putting them at a really high risk for wet-tail
