I don't understand why you would even attempt this. The first thing anyone does when seeing an open gun is determine the intention of the carrier. Are they a friendly or hostile. If you have any doubt the proper response is to protect those who you are responsible for and ensure the risk is limited or eliminated. Just because you are in a gun shop you don't get to openly wear a gun that can be loaded or otherwise. What if you had a clip in your back pocket or concealed in a breast/back holder?

so you walk into cabelas with a gun this is a sporting goods store right?
-
@Booger414 yeah did have a setup vibe, but of all places you think a gun store would allow people to bring unloaded guns in and out
i mean if you buy a new gun there are you allowed to carry it out of the friggen store??
-
@funkyzero but the governement can control what we do on our private property, they can forbid people to make drugs or beat up their wife in their own home for example
they can also force you to install certain things, or they can just take your land to build a highway, and pay you what they think is fair...

It's weird they do it that way. Whatever, right?

Is it true that the store employee holding the gun in his hands violated the State's Open Carry Law - the gun has to be holstered in public places. The store employee can't openly carry a firearm in his hand while walking around the store.
-
im all about legal handguns but why the need to carry an exposed firearm in public when it tends to freak out the average joe??
-
Sounds to me like Cabelas doesn't want to sell any holsters. I will remember not to go there.

I disliked this video not just because of the music but of the fact that it was obviously a set up. Now there is no problem with Cabela's having whatever private rule they want to, however a no gun rule at a gun store is kind of contradictory. The fact that they seized private property after the fitting was odd, if guns are not allowed why was it not taken at the entrance? As for the customer, why carry an unloaded weapon like that? That is a quick way to become a crime statistic.

Well, I've been a customer of Cabela's for years and years. So I think if they don't trust their customers what they are really saying is that they don't need our money either. Have you tried this with "Bass Pro" ?
Gee, it would be nice if we could actually hear the video over the shitty music.

@SquirrelFromGradLife Ever seen a sign that says "No shirt, no shoes, no service." ? In this case it was "No OC." Private property is PRIVATE. That means the owner makes the rules.
It isn't that hard to understand.
