57315 Departs Cardiff with 1W91 and a tone! 27.11.09

My first sighting of Arriva's loco hauled service. This is operating with 4 of their class 57 fleet. on this particular day, 57315 hauls 1W91 Cardiff-Holyhead, departing Cardiff 32 late due to a major signal failure. I was caught up in the failure, Was booked home at 1736 got back to Bath Spa at 2003! A nightmare!
The driver noticed me and my girlfriend filming, so he blasted the horn, scaring me, delightfully! Unfortunately a 'normal' walked infront of the camera, he was going to recieve a bollocking.. ;-)

Ex-Advenza 57005 is also in shot.

We all hate it when the blast the horn like that. But drivers like that tend to be pretty cocky! Still nice to see some Arriva MK II stock. Are cab lights supposed to be on while diesels are running?

I love it when they do, but I prefer it when they do it through my conscience! He seemed really down to earth, but some are indeed. The mark II stock is great, It's grea to see a loco hauled set on the network. Not really, but there was a major signal failure, so it made sense for cab light to be on as driver had to get out at every signal and call for clearence.

Great video. D'ya think the driver pooped off his horn to try to make you jump?! It was interesting to see the driver doing his thing so clearly in his cab. Good fun.

Thanks! I think he was doing it to 'show off' in essence. I made no movement of any kind to ask for a toot. He acknowledged me and my girlfriend with a camera. Indeed, was good of him to leave the light on to watch his control!
