Fixed ratio!

Paul McCartney's brother Mike takes a trip around Liverpool and talks about childhood memories, school days at the Liverpool Institute, the Beatles' early years, the Cavern Club and how he started his career in photography. Anecdotes about his first camera which Paul bought in Hamburg, the first photographs, Ringo Starr and Little Richard, George Harrison with Joe Brown's guitar, John Lennon, Peter Scissons, Brian Epstein and 'Flash Harry'.

From the BBC's 'Daytime Live' show with Pamela Armstrong, 1987 - 1988, which I recorded on VHS.

  • He sounds more like George than Paul.

  • Wow... the Mike Mccartney part looks so recent-- of course with a 50s-60s sensibility to it-- but the newscaster on the end shocked me, looking straight outta the 80s!

  • He doesn't look like paul. I read about him in a john lennon book.

  • Liverpool's skyline has changed immeasurably since the film was taken. Look:

The Clarence Dock Power station chimney stacks are still there on the clip. They were demolished in the late 1980s. Also the Brunswick Dock grain silo is still there which was demolished around 1985.

Great photos. Even special photos of Little Richard.

  • isnt MAC an scotish last name?

  • I like the part where Mike says that Little Richard fancied him. Its cute.

  • And I judge this to be a fabulous video - and the pictures are simply GREAT.

Thanks MIke. I'd like to see a lot more of you and your life story.
