wow ... to all pre-weld commenters - you guys are so used to working with crappy membrane AND you never installed IB.

Pre-weld IS NOT necessary. IB welds great with no prewelding and you can't tear the seam once you weld it and let it cool. This roof did not leak like all of you skeptics predicted. It works just fine!

Spot installing crappy TPO roofs and start using PVC!

there is no "pre-weld" needed... this is IB - you weld it and its done. Non wicking scrim prevents membrane separation from capillary effect. Stop installing crappy TPO ans switch to PVC. You will love your life :)))

lets face it, any single ply roofing system is garbage. two ply modified is without a doubt the best roofing system out there.

I first started laying the system in the UK 30 yrs ago, before they all came on the bandwagon likes of sarna,flagon,uniply,protan,etc etc, I still lay the same system to day, I have not been able to buy a auto welder because of the cost, all laps are hand welded, I keep my welds neat, some roofers when welding roll across the tip, which creates a scorch mark on the bottom sheet every 20mm, the sheet below is now less than it.s required thickness,

your weld will have air bubbles because you did not start in the center you suck
