  • @miccimu I am so sorry to hear about this update as I am sure that the idea of another surgery is frightening and frusterating! You are in my prayers and heart and know that you are thought of. Sleep is the MOST important element to healing as well as diet and water intake. Have you tried meditation CD's for sleeping? Your healing path is SO crucial and I do hope that you are able to rest. I am doing FANTASTIC and still sooo Grateful for my life! Love to you! Carol

  • Well I thoght that my jorney was finished but it's not! On my 1 year check i found out that some bran liquid made a clot that is pushing on my facial nerve and i have all the sinthoms again :( ill get operated this dicember, im pretty scared. Not because of the operation difficulties is just im very tired and not very strong physically...my work is very tirying not sleeping much i definittly should do more! How are you doing now?

  • @miccimu I am so happy to hear from you! 5.5cm is huge!!! I am so Grateful that they found the tumor and were able to get it all. It takes a while to heal but trust in your bodies amazing healing abilities. It took me at least four months to start to feel like myself and nine months later, I am getting stronger everyday! Trust that you are healing, SLEEP a lot, remain Grateful. That is what worked for me. Please search my name Carol Christensen for my other video updates. Much Love to you! Carol

  • I had removed an acustic neuroma of 5.5cm in size. I still have big down times, it is hard to be positive. I just turned 30 and my face looks almost normal but i get very very tired all the time. My surgery was november 17th 2011. I cannot see well with the effected eye and i cannot taste much in the same side :( how are you doing?

  • @cathykrohne I love your positive attitude! Keep up with it and yes, the trade-off for a longer and what I have found to be, a brighter more amazing life, is worth it! I am now 8 months post-surgery and am just adjusting to the hearing loss...it takes a while but Gratitude is a healer. Much Love, Carol

  • Thank you so much... i just recieved the news that I have a vestibular neuroma on Monday.... I have other health issues and am actually thrilled to have something that may be fixable....I see the surgeon for the first time tomorrow to discuss my options. Mine is small... just 1 x .05 cm......everything on youtube is horribly frightening, but I suppose those who do well, get on with life and do not make videos. And ... and ear for a good and longer life, I think is a good trade :)

  • @kuksoolamy I am just checking in and seeing your message! So sorry for the wait...I know that days can feel like months during this time! I will send you an email and know that I am sending you so much love and light right now. All of your symptoms are very normal...we all go through it and it does get better. For now, remember~what you focus on expands. Try to rest and be as still and peaceful as you can. Nurture your body with organic and "clean" healthy foods. Think Healing Thoughts. :)

  • Hi I've been diagnosed with a 3cm AN and am scheduled for translab surgery on September 21,2011. was this the same surgery your daughter had? I am nervous, and the waiting is the hardest part so far. I am having mepry loss, balance issues, some hearing loss, headaches and nausea. My email is eternallyme@yahoo.com if you would like to talk -I can't figure out email through here on my phone :) thanks!

  • Hi Carol,

I have just seen your video and I am pleased that you put it on you tube... My daughter Debbie who is 34 was told on Feb 18th that she too had an acoustic neuroma, she had her surgery on 28th June 2011 in Leeds General Infirmary UK (more to follow below)

  • The surgeon Mr Philip Van Hille carried out Debbie's operation and I can't sing his praises enough, he's been fantastic throughout. Debbie had already gone virtually deaf on the left side, was having blackouts, dizziness, nausea, sleepiness, depression, walking to the left sometimes etc, I know you will understand what I mean... (more to follow below)
