In a letter dated September 29, 2008, Chad Hardy, producer of the infamous Men on a Mission Calendars and www.MormonsExposed.com website, received a letter from Mormon-owned Brigham Young University informing him that he had been deleted from his August 15, 2008 graduation, and would not be awarded his BA degree in Communication Studies because of he was excommunicated from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on July 13, 2008, a month before graduation.

All of his required coursework had already been completed prior to the church discipline, and was not required to abide by the schools strict Honor Code because he finished his coursework online from his home in Las Vegas, NN. His only recourse given to get his diploma was to come back to full fellowship with the LDS Church.

Brigham Young University failed to follow their own policies and procedures in disciplining Hardy and revoking his degree. This series of videos are the actual recording from the official University Review with BYU Dean of Students, Vernon Heperi.

Two weeks later, Hardy was denied an exception from BYU policy and will not be awarded his degree.

  • Church leaders have deceived you. Return the favor.

  • The dean isnt named, but he is obviously a complete DICK!!!!

  • This administrator was exceptionally patient and generous with a terribly belligerent and arrogant grandstanding opportunist!

I sense poor Chad will be coming out of the closet within the next year or two! He obviously carries many layers of hidden agenda going into this interview.

  • I really thought Chad made a good case. A technicality seemed to get him and they seem to be within their legal means to withold his degree. I didn't like how the Dean was spinning the questions, but I understand he has his job to consider. Also, there is no doubt that it's obvious Chad was being difficult and not helping his case whatsoever. I don't believe they would have given him his degree if he had "passed" the Dean's interview anyways...

  • I'm LDS, not at BYU (though I do want to go there). And i'm an honest person. I actually agree with Mr. Hardy on this issue. He makes a good point.
