he should've added a sector gear chip to the sector gear if you want a high ROF, basically it strengthens the sector gear nub that pulls back on tappet plate.

Yeah, that's right, You should tighten the box with a few screws as you install each set of shims per gear, then move on to the next gear. Simply placing the box togrther my hand is not going to work.

Just a question, I have to buy new gears and a piston - I have a Tokyo Marui m4, will the gears you used work on my gun also? It's a version 2 gearbox I believe.
Thanks man!

Thanks to this great video of yours I have been able to fix and shim my rifle gearbox on the first attempt , only took 7 hours lol! Cheers fellas you saved me a few bob!
Should one grease up the fucker after doing all this, with silicon gel spray etc?
I'll probably try to do this to my gun if/when it breaks , I study at a tech univ... how hard can it be? :d

@Kekkon3n Suggest you wait to watch the other 5 vids in the series before you attempt anything - all the answers will come :)

When you are shimming the gearbox and you are finished with one gear I recommend to fasten the the halves together with at least to screws to ensure there is not too tight shimming on the gear. Although it does not seem too serious, this little difference this makes in distance between the bearings/bushings may cause youre gearbox to jam.
Also when you shim the sector after the spur make sure there is no grinding on the surfaces between the sector and the spur.
