An instant hit in 1908, and still running strong after one hundred years. Albert Von Tilzer's song quickly became a classic as America's signature song for baseball.

  • It always impresses me how the game of baseball like this song has endured for over 100 years. Through wars, corruption, depression, racism, steroids and strikes. It is truly the most American game for the amount of time spent playing and perfecting it.

  • @brilliantmx congrats you can reed.

  • I'm european and I'm soccer fan. But I love this song, is very funny

  • for Real Baseball fans!

  • 14 soccer lovin europeans disliked this video.

  • todos los estadounidenses son feos

  • 1908 after listening to this it seems just like yesterday

  • Jack Norworth's wife was Nora Bayes, one of the highest paid performers in America at that time. She also did a version of this song but then everybdy did.

  • @MegaDavidcar Yes.

  • It's "every SOU, Katie blew," not SUE. The sou was a low denomination of French coin just like the American cent. You could say Katie spent every cent she had on baseball games.
