I bought this sometime around June of 2010 and have added a 2nd 1tb drive. Using Acronis backup software I am able to backup my desktop and laptop drives as images at any time. I just set it and go. It works in the background or I can log off the desktop and let it work. I've yet to spend the time using the sharing features but I have used my old Tivo to look at pictures and a video that I have on the Stora. This thing is the best if you ask me.
