Not limited but if you are going to represent your culture...reggae is not the way :) And the music genres I listen to are definitely diverse as well.

It's like a Guyanese person singing Bachata? Would a Guyanese person make it bigger than a Jamaican? I don't think so...Initially, Reggae came from Africa...we are Guyanese from India. Reggae is not in our culture, so going back to my comment, this is not something I would find appealing in a Guyanese man. And you are saying that more reggae should come out of Guyana, I think NOT? Again, my point of view :)
Please enlighten me as to what is the way to represent your culture.

I showed this video to one of my friends...and her first words were "who is this wanna be Sean Paul?"

It's fine I'm enjoying the dialogue.
So are you saying Guyanese should be limited to Hindi music? I listen to rock music and I play the guitar, so does that say I shouldn't lay rock music because I might a "wanna be Metallica or Bob Marley"?

Like I was saying before, when someone sees this video, this is what they will think Guyanese guys are like, when in fact they are not (as per my brother, my father, my cousins, my uncles etc) So going back to my statement RELAX, breathe,it was MY statement and MY view on this video.

Sav, I'm pretty relaxed, and I appreciate your perspective; however, when you make such a generalized statement I can't help but question it as one guy does not define an entire nationality and it would be ridiculous to assume so in the first place.

Here's my honest critique of this video: it definitely needs some work, but it's heading in the right direction. No, Guyanese people don't speak Jamaican Creole, but reggae music does, hence the need for it. Prakz' background is in chutney music, so I applaud his effort to take his music in a new direction as I would really like to see more reggae artist coming out of Guyana.
