watch this with the audio off, and it's a couple of dorks getting excited about planes taking off
-
The B52 gave filthy black smoke anyway on take off, just a bit more with the water injection
-
@DeltaKilo915 the black smoke is not oil , is water injection .
-
@bikerbob2005 Jets aren't measured in HP, its thrust. It constantly changes with Temp, pressure, altitude. Horse power is only really used on pistons engines

Even back then, faggots in the military. Shit, poke, don't tell.

@pobinr "innocent"!!! survival of the fitest, always has been always will, not my belief, but just fact. There are testing time to come...then you'll have it right on your doorstep... Its my belief the mankind is doomed to extinction, by their own stupidity & greed, but I reckon religion and nuclear weapons will play a hand in it, in the coming years. I don't think we've done our kids any favours.

How do you stop an Iranian bingo game? Call B52.

@MEGA195 Gotta love those oil burners!
-
@pobinr Yeah it's easy now to look back in hindsight and point out mistakes the US has made. I'm not just some red neck right wing yahoo; but the fact of the matter is - those planes have been defending your ungrateful ass for 57 years! Yes they're quite lovely!

water injection is cause of the black smoke it cools the intake charge making more hp. The b-52 G each engine was 250,000 hp x 8.
Diezel or charcoal?)

This is Rod Taylor and Rock Hudson in the early '60s movie "Bombers B-52" which I saw in an Army post theater at Schofield Barracks, HI as a kid.
