I think you are wrong when you mention that if Israel were to engage an Arab nation today it would lose, as the Israeli military is far more advanced than other Arab militaries...even the Saudi military.

Your religion controls every aspect of life in egypt.And to answer your question about the withdrawal the reason for Israel withdrawing from the Sinai was due to strong pressure from the US the UN and USSR. After the Israeli withdrawal of troops from sinai the UN took over the territory to keep the conflict from escallating. If your country will make peace or respect Israel state u wont have any problems.
