People say what they want to say about Lauren Hill. Critics are always saying that they want REAL ARTISTS, and that's just what Lauren Hill is A REAL ARTIST. She speaks the truth in her music for these younger generations of YOUNG LADIES coming up, so piss of people! Think about it: would you rather your daughter listen to Lauren Hill or these other female artists talking about only God knows what. I mean, don't get me wrong I listen to them but I'm a woman and can distinguish between the two.

@juccij1989 All good points. I agree with you. I remember Nina simone saying that the industry would rather deal with a 3rd rate act than a true talent because they find it harder to shut the true talent up or tell them to change their clothes, etc.

But I doubt it even if she was still high profile-I mean DMX was talking about having sex with dead bodies in his lyrics and ppl are jamming to it not listening to the lyrics-just the transient beats.
