What the heck did I just watch??
-
Is not pretty, but it works!!
-
doesnt every reprap need the same settings?
-
At least it's consistently inconsistent
-
3:50 looks like the whole frame is moving, is it? This could knock out alinement good for first go
-
I can't wait to build my own Reprap I'm just learning google sketch and gathering parts right now. Thanks for the motivation

Your machine is so fast that this is one of the best videos I've seen of the filament depositing. Really easy to show someone how it works with this vid.

@linkspecialproximity That code was just from Repsnapper and the machine wasn't calibrated yet. I've moved on to Skeinforge 40 and it's looking better. I've been spending a lot of time getting the settings perfect.

I think your Z step per rev are off. the hot end is floating too high above the part

@2robotguy I recently calibrated the steps per mm and they are looking better now. Works great when I set Bottom to 0.0 in SF40. It sticks like a mother to the bed now.

Did you have to drill holes in the wades extruder to mount that version of hot end?
rnewman5 11 months ago
@rnewman5 No, It already had the holes for it. I had to add the block after I mounted it to the x carriage.
