World of Warcraft :: MLG Dallas Championship Sunday 2009 News

Today becomes a sad day for Gravitas Gaming and Against All Authority as they have been pushed out of Championship Bracket play. However, the most arousing news going into day three - there are still six teams that can make it into the double elimination bracket with different scenarios happening in round robin. With six matches left, anything is possible.

Of the six teams still competing to become top four and advance to double elimination, Complexity needs a win over SK to even think about moving on. Even with the win, it still does not secure a spot as coL needs Button Bashers, Gravitas, or aAa to win one of their matches to help knock other teams out of the top four position. Don't count out Button Bashers either as a 4-3 finish may still edge them into the championship bracket.

There isn't too much else we can say at this point in Dallas, as teams compete for a chance at $9,000 and the title of MLG Dallas 2009 Champions.

they get paid because some of them get contracts and are paid to play, just look at Walshy from the MLG team Final boss, after two years in the MLG he was able to buy a house

yeah i hear you man, im all for MLG ppl seriously whats better then getting paid to do what you love? but about the whole money thing they dont really get paid that much, all in all for tournaments etc. its only a little over minimum wage for a years pay. but if your cool with that why not? its the best job you can have if its what your in to. gogo MLG

The money they get is minimal, and there is no money for sponsorship, you get price money if you win, and free tickets.
