Thanks for coming through with a video. Real quick too. I should probably carry a knife like that. I do have a couple I think. I have also been working on a putting together a bag.

@Buckrun11 Like butcher said in his video, I wouldn't want to carry a knife to a gun fight, so I figure there's not a lot of reason to carry something tactical on a day to day basis. A simple pocket knife that does the job seems enough to me. Nice knives in your video by the way. You can't go wrong with a Buck in my opinion.

I do exactly the same thing with my Swiss Army. I reserve the small blade for use as a scalpel. I also know the nervous feeling of being without the bag. When the bag is around you always have options.

@logcabinlooms My bag has most of what I need to survive for a while except food and water, and I have the stuff to treat water. The food I carry is minimal, but hot drinks I can handle and they keep spirits up.
Mainly, want to be able to deal with things before they become an emergency. Trail side first aid, emergency shelter, being lost, hypothermia, etc. are all things I've dealt with from my bag.
It's that Boy Scout thing about being prepared - it makes sense.
Thanks for the comment.
