Speaker Pelosi's Floor Speech on Health Insurance Reform

Speaker Nancy Pelosi spoke on the House floor tonight in support of historic health insurance reform legislation. The House passed the Senate version of health insurance reform legislation by a vote of 219 to 212. That bill now goes to the President for his signature into law. A second bill, to improve the Senate bill, passed by a vote of 220 to 211 and goes to the Senate.

life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness had nothing to do with healthcare for all Americans. I can not believe her audacity to put her self-centered, destructive, and horrific agenda in any way paralleling the declaration of independence. The founding fathers would not think that every citizen should be forced to submit to a govt plan to not be put in jail. @shadowbeliefisme The reference to Social Security was a reference to the belief of many that universal healthcare was the unfinished business of the New Deal. Regardless, the healthcare bills passed by Congress would be regarded in just about every other industrialised nation as very conservative healthcare bills. Are you of the opinion that all the governing parties of all of these countries are socialist?

The new healthcare law is fatally flawed , The recent report from the Obama Administrations Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, which confirmed the healthcare bill will increase costs and cause 14 million Americans to lose employer-sponsored coverage, was yet another indication the new health law is not going to work as intended. What an achievement, they should be very proud of screwing over the American people. Next time please use KY-Jelly. Vote them all out!
