Guinea Pig Cage Cleaning

My uber cleaning skills. Using newspaper as a lining really cuts down the time it takes to do this, and I switched from an aspen bedding to a recycled composite bedding (still safe for the pigs!) and it works marvelously! I recommend it to all small pet owners.

For inquiring minds, I made the cage using the "Cubes and Coroplast" method, a cost effective way to make a cage with enough room for pigs that need it. Have a look at this site for more: http://www.guineapigcages.com/cubes.htm

@200catss Depends on how many pigs you have, and how much room there is! Less room means less space for wastes to go... My cage needs cleaning around once a week, though I put more bedding in sometimes and do it in two weeks.

Pet supply stores carry guinea pig food and bedding. The cage stuff can be bought at home hardware stores... read the other comments, you may find them helpful.

u should use fleece blankets it is easier and quicker to clean
