  • how about it on DX10

  • as far as i know, dx10 is not suppported in guild wars

  • do you need to install something else to play gw on ubuntu?

  • No, you just need wine, and some registry tweaks

  • Nice man, looks really good. Is it running with everything enabled? dx9, etc?

  • Yes, it is running with DirectX 9 and high settings but without antialiasing which by the way can be enabled but the fps drops a little bit so i didnt enable it (i force AA in the nvidia-settings panel)

  • @darktrainer666 : could you please tell me what tweaks have you done? Thanks

  • What's your theme :O

What app did you use for doing the video :p.

Istanmbul don't work correctly with game here... and I don't have success when I try installing yukon :(

  • Great vid. Im using "record my desktop" but it slows down my Ubunut a lot, and Istanbul is not working... What app are U using for desktop recording?

  • yea it is

  • What may suprise some Windows users is that OpenGL, what Linux uses, was designed to work over a remote Xwindows connection on special X+OpenGL thin-client terminals, so that say 10 users could share a single SGI workstation..

It's possible if someone had a window manager or something to take advantage of OpenGL on an Xterm, you could play guild wars remotely over a X-windows display redirect, but it would be slow as heck. Better just to try out VNC.. Ha!

Play guild wars via VNC on a iPhone!

  • its linux, i think its an os like windows

  • how did you get your desktop to look like that?

  • How do you enable 3d on that card, nvidia drivers don't work, they give me the white screen error. I am using the beta drivers now but it x server cant see the card when xorg.conf is set to nvidia drivers.
