Boga, boga, marinela, marinela,
join biardegu, urrutira urrutira.
Bai Indietara, bai Indietara.
Es det, es det, er det, nik ikusiko
zure playae derra, playae derra.
Agur, agur, agur, ondarroako
itzaso, itzaso basterra, itzaso, itzaso basterra.
Marinela, marinela, boga, marinela.

  • @BlindT0RtureKill, BOGA BOGA ain't African you dummy.... is EUSKARA as European as you'll ever be. ( or won't...)

Hala ere, agur zintzoak ( nevertheless Greetings)

    BOGA!

  • wtf? Iv' never heard of this shit in New Zealand. Youv got the wrong country dumbass

  • c'est très réussi!

  • This version badly sung.

    Instead of "Ondarroa", says "Donibane"

  • we aint africans this music doesnt represent kiwis

  • Thanks for the info! I finally found this remix version in CD "World in Union - Rugby World Cup 2007" :)

  • yes...this version is from "Herria & The Bayoone Basque Choir"

  • I think the singers are the "The Bayonne Basque Choir" but this is a great version of this beautiful and well known Basque song.

    Row, row, sailor

the boat will not come back

    it's going far from here

Goodbye, I wont' see you again

    land where I was born

    Goodbye, goodbye seashore

    which watches me leave

    Sailor, row sailor.

The first sailor to sail around the globe was a Basque.

  • Why would an "All Blacks" "New Zealand" rugby team sing a traditional "Basque" song?

That's what I call World Music! lol

By the way, this arrangement is beautiful, although I also like the song in its original, much sadder style (it's a sailors' song of nostalgy as they leave their land, Ondárroa, heading to distant India).
