You have your views and I have mine...It's good we can both express them, Yes ???

@musicsoothesusall these atrocities happened because of the belief in the christian god! Because of the belief that pagans were adherers of satan and that the sins will be forgiven! Another thing: isnt god perfect? so couldnt god destroy satans empire and anticipate such atrocities? regarding the sins: if we have the responsibilities, why do we need god then?^^ You shouldnt see the only possibility for an eternal life in christianity and its law! WE commit sins and WE are responsible for them!

PS. yes, HE does takes our sins, IF we confess them...We still have the responsibilites of any said actions (sins) There are always repercussions....

@Fr1392 Yes, we were given FREE WILL....many used this to torture and murder millions of innocent people....Could this be the results of certain men (women) having such evil in their hearts ??? One cannot blame God for the atrocities that man allowed to happen....The Earth and mankind will never be perfect until Christ returns to claim his own and reclaim the Earth as HIS and destroys the Enemy (Satan). You' re quite an astute person. (smiles)

@musicsoothesusall free will? such as the free will to believe in something else for that you had been burned until 200 years ago? or the free will of millions of americans who had been tortured to death because of their pagan belief? and how did he "take" our sins? sins are things that we have already done, how can he take them away? why shouldnt we bear responsibility for our sins for ourselves? the guarantee of "him" to take them is namely nothing else than that he takes the responsibility

Yes, HE did take our sins at the cross, so we CAN have everlasting LIfe (after Death) with HIM in Heaven. We cannot attain perfection 'til we reach Heaven, where we will receive a new body, unlike the human one we now have, with all of it's imperfections. Hope I don't sound "preachy", my friend !!! Have a blessed day !!
Thanks. The abbey is called Sweetheart abbey. It's found on the eastern edge of the village of New abbey 5 miles south of Dumfries. It was a lovely summer's evening when we stopped of at it and the sun was getting ready to set....Beautiful
