I haven't submitted this time at any sites because I totally wall-rode the first part of Massanet. I'm at WOT until halfway through the turn -- absurd. Anyway, the game allows it, so there ya go.

Other wall-contact incidents are the entry & exit to Casino and the R-L of Piscine. This might've evened out the advantage of wall-riding earlier.

I don't have a way to prove it now, but 1min and 18sec is my personal best on the S8 license =)

If you saved your game after achieving that time, you can go to that license's top times, and take a picture. Even better, if you saved the replay of it, you can take a picture of your replay file's description. It should show the relevant data to confirm it. Nice time!

i cant tell if automatic or manual would be better though. wall riding looks like it would help

I did the same thing in my best run. The bad part is if you touch the wall the wrong way, you fail. I barely missed the 2nd contact you're talking about, but I had another later on near the swimming pool. I squeaked-out a 1:23.903.

Instead of braking for my entry to Massanet, I simply stay to the right and use the wall to slow me down and help me with my turn-in (Vid 28"-29", Lap 14"-15").  Unfortunately, I still got a bad exit...

it comes at Massanet, at the top of the hill before T1. If you notice my Brake Meter, it shows that I don't use it until halfway through the turn...

As it turns out, I use them a bit late, and it has me on the inside for my approach to Casino. I touch the wall coming out, unintentionally this time.

Yeah, I agree. I don't count this lap as my best because of how I took Massanet. My best so far (no "significant" wall contact) is 1'25.316" (MT/!TCS/!ASM) There's definitely room to shave, but it'll be some time before I can beat it. With a handle like RoadHazzard, I've learned of quite a few places on various circuits where wall-riding can be used to one's advantage! Watch out! :)
