Hi, Kristine. Thanks for sending this along so that it would complement the second video I commented on. Oh, what lovely sibilants shimmering across the early part of this piece. On the whole, a compelling portrait crisply in focus with direct address and a lack of cloying nostalgia which seems to come from your selection of clear and abundant details. Overall, the harmonizing effects of Schubert and your fine editing frame this in a soft focus that speaks to reverence & tenderness. Lovely work!

Kristine! So beautiful. I went to the Mississippi river to look for where my grandmother was born; it's no longer there; the island was a sand bar that washed away. When we go to see history, we see the now and can only imagine the then of it. Yet somehow you cut through the wall of time and found it; or bits of it anyway. Well done!!!! And to share it with your son, ties it to another generation; thus continuing the story of your family.
