I wished that happened before hand Season 9. Maybe Steve and Myra would've still had a future together.

Yes, but she grew up overtime when she saw what it was like to be in Steve's shoes in It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Urkel being mistreated by him(as Steve Winslow). Steve outgrew stalking Laura when he found out what it was like to be in her shoes with Myra stalking him.

@ladyfire44 That reminds me of another fan fiction story (no longer online :-(), where Steve does marry Myra, but only after unfortunately already being married to Laura, but then something he does on one of their dates makes him realize he doesn't love Laura as much as he thought, and he and Laura divorce. Lucky for Steve though, Myra happily takes him back and he immediately proposes to her.
