  • Anything special about this rifle? Russian Capture? My RC is very accurate and in very nice condition. It is a very smooth rifle.

  • @governator45 It is an RC and It has been glass bedded, other than that it is unmodified. I love the Mausers, they are so consistant.

  • @governator45 One more thing, the ammo is my personal handloaded match.

  • How do you calcuate the timing for these shots. like time until sound returns and stuff

  • @PuppetMaster303 Computer software, I use a free program called "Point Blank." If you google it there will be several sites to download it from for free.

  • @mag30th thanks for replying to my comment (i know a lot of famous youtube people dont) i will definitly check out point blank

  • @PuppetMaster303 :-) Thanks, Famous? I'm not sure about that... Neurotic more likely... Thanks again, Ernest.

  • We are going to need you for the Zombie Apocalypse.

  • I know a lot of people like to make jokes about American gun owners being red neck and stuff, but if we were ever invaded or anything, we not only have a military, but we have thousands of ordinary civilians who can make 1,000 yard shots with a WW2 rifle.

  • That's good to know that it's subsonic at those longer ranges. No zip or crack in combat. You just here a spread out "bang".

  • @PivotB3stZ If anything we do it more efficiently @ $120 a pop (Great quality grade) plus what, $100 for about 1k rounds of surplus?

  • @minisown LOL... rainbow....

  • GREAT video. Love it. Need a second K98 so I can put some reproduction glass on it.

  • Nice job

  • Funny thing that the only metric specification was the caliber.

  • bullet drop is 46 feet? do you have to aim at the sky to hit a target like that?

  • I have this mauser, its great. But I prefer the russian mosin nagant

  • What scope mounts are you using? I have a GEW 98, 1916 spandau with trench magazine and would like to find high scope mounts like yours and put a decent scope on it...what mounts are you using on you scope and where did you get them.,,,

  • Just took my German Kar 98K to the range for the first time last week and it quickly became my favorite rifle. Perfectly ballanced it was able to hit the gongs out at 600 yards and shot some really tight groups better than my Rem 700 at 100 yards. I was expecting it to be a 5 or 6 inch group gun at 100 yards like my Yugo M48 but it is a lot more accurate! I love the sights also, they are very precise! I found my favorite rifle now, hopefully it will last for another hundred years!
